South of Pittsburgh: Poems From Northern Appalachia

One of the most familiar and striking features of Northern Appalachia is the changing of the seasons. The contrasts and the contradictions of these fluctuations at once comforting  and disconcerting, as are these poems. What Robert Frost did for New England in North of Boston, Michael Comiskey has done for the region in South of Pittsburgh. Michael Comiskey is a retired professor of political science and economics at Penn state Fayette.
